7月28日　興部町（おこっぺちょう）沙留（さるる）海水浴場にて / At the swiminng beach at Okoppe town

6月初旬からずっと心待ちにしてました。ついに海水浴場で泳げました。北海道では泳ぐところはない（特にオホーツク）、北海道の人は泳がない、水が冷たいなど、さんざん言われていましたが、念願かないました。興部町観光協会に毎日電話して「きょうは泳げますか？」と聞いてばかりいたところ、担当者の方とも仲良くなりました。でもやっぱり水は冷たかったです。気温25度はちょうどいい感じなんですけどね。水温20度はちょっと冷たい。波も荒かったです。海中はコンブだらけ。ここで取ると密漁になるそうです。I've been looking forward to it since early June. I was often told that there is no place to swim in Hokkaido (in particular Okhotsk), people in Hokkaido never swim, the water is too cold to swim etc. I was told a lot, but I had a wish. I telephoned Okoppe-town Tourist Association everyday and just asked "Can I swim today?". I became friends with the person in charge as I contacted him so often. But after all the water was cold. Temperature 25 degrees is just right, though. The water temperature of 20 degrees is a bit cold. The waves were also rough. There are lots of kelp in the sea. It would be illegal if you cropped the kelp here.
